ABOUT CAMP SHETEK

Located in Southwest Minnesota on Lake Shetek, Camp Shetek was purchased from the S.P. Anderson estate of Currie, MN in April of 1948.  The 37.9 acre, lakeside farmland was bought for $5,250 by a group of Baptist churches looking for place to help kids grow in their walk with Christ. Since the Camp’s inception in 1948, our ministry is focused on sharing and showing the love of Jesus Christ by “providing a peaceful, lakeside setting as a meeting place with God.”

MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission: The mission of Camp Shetek is to “Provide a quality, peaceful, lakeside setting as a meeting place with God.” We desire that each person coming into contact with this ministry will:

  • Trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

  • Grow in their faith and Christian character development.

  • Establish the priorities of prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship.

  • Devote their lives in service to our Lord Jesus at home and abroad.
